Polk Key City Basketball Classic

This is a past event.

The Polk Key City Basketball Classic is the oldest continuous girls only basketball tournament in Texas! It is a collaboration between HSU, AISD and WISD and brings in 16 teams from all over Texas.

In 1952, Hardin-Simmons began hosting a girls invitational basketball tournament under the direction of its founder, Dr. Otho M. Polk, professor of physical education and recreation. In 1985, Hardin-Simmons renamed the tournament in honor of its late founder.

The Polk family continues to support the tournament through gracious financial donations.

The mission of the Polk-Key City Girls Basketball Classic is to promote a quality girls basketball tournament in a way that involves the community and entire Big Country.
